nikwax-glove-care

Taking proper care of your gloves will extend their life and performance. Always seek to air dry your gloves after use. Follow the care instructions on the product.

ALL LEATHER GLOVES

Natural leather combines abrasion resistance and breathability. Regular care will help extend their performance life.

  1. Remove surface dirt with a rag, using lukewarm water if needed.
  2. To restore water resistance, use Nikwax Waterproofing Wax for Leather. Put on the gloves. Place a small amount of the cream (dime sized) on the gloves and rub in evenly pressing the cream into seams. After ten minutes remove any excess.
  3. Allow to air dry.  Avoid heaters, dryers, and ovens, as excess heat can dry out leather.
  4. Repeat treatment as needed for optimal water resistance.

FABRIC AND LEATHER GLOVES & MITTENS

Combinations of fabric (usually synthetic) and leather allow for flexibility in weight, cost, or other considerations. Regular care will help extend their performance life.

  1. Remove surface dirt with a rag, using lukewarm water and Nikwax Tech Wash as needed. Some gloves can be machine-washed (check label).
  2. To restore water resistance, use Nikwax Glove Proof. Shake container. While gloves are still wet, apply evenly, paying special attention to seams and stitching. After two minutes remove any excess. Allow to air dry.
  3. Repeat treatment as needed for optimal water resistance.

Nikwax is committed to providing PFC-free, high performance aftercare products.
